Building bridges between virtual worlds

The metaverse is not a single app. It's a network of millions of virtual worlds and digital experiences people visit to play games, socialize and collaborate. Today, most of those experiences are closed and disconnected walled gardens.
Ready Player Me provides developers with an easy-to-integrate Avatar Creator and developer tools to give their users highly-personalized avatars to help increase retention and engagement.

How we got here...

The company was started in 2014 by Timmu Tõke (CEO), Rainer Selvet (CTO), Kaspar Tiri (CCO) and Haver Järveoja (COO). The founding team has been working together on avatars for almost 9 years.

The beginnings...

Our first product was a professional, hardware-based 3D scanner. We operated our scanners in public places like airports, museums, and conference halls around the world.

Scan library

We scanned more than 20,000 people and collected a massive database of high-quality face scans in the process.

This proprietary database of face scans allowed us to build a deep-learning solution that creates perfect virtual avatars from a single selfie on any device.

Built on strong partnerships

We spent 4 years custom building avatar systems and avatar tech for enterprise customers like Tencent, Huawei, HTC, Wargaming, Verizon and many others.

Reinventing avatars

We launched Ready Player Me in 2020 with the aim of becoming the default avatar system for the builders, creators and residents of the metaverse.
